The ability to alter one's voice has always managed to intrigue people for ages. There is nothing funnier at a party then inhaling a helium balloon and talking like a lollipop kid from The Wizard of Oz. Voice Changer comes fully equipped with 8 different voice alterations, many of which will hopefully make you laugh.There are a lot of options in the App Store for voice recorders and playbacks and even quite a few that alter your voice in one way or another. None that I have found however offer as many options as Voice Changer. With 8 different alterations there is bound to be something for everyone. From helium to evil demon, slow down to speed up Voice Changer comes fully equipped.
The basic principle behind Voice Changer is simply a voice recorder. Hold down the record button and say what you have to say and then hit the playback to hear it in the change you've chosen. Switching between changes is simple and so is recording and playback. You can also save a recording if you like it and upload it to your computer or even convert them into a ringtone. The ringtone idea is great and I've had a lot of fun having my phone say some pretty hilarious stuff when it rings.
Overall Voice Changer does a pretty bang up job. The interface isn't horrible but simple enough to navigate. It functions well and never had any issues with the application crashing or anything. Some of the voices seem a bit off to me, but that could always be personal opinion. Priced at only $2 Voice Changer is a decent buy for a little bit of entertainment. What I would personally like to see is someone create a soundboard out of saved files and prank call someone, THAT would be hilarious.
