Monkey Flight Watch Out For Mud Puddles

There are countless games out there that involve hitting something with a bat, or a club, or slingshotting something simply to see how far you can get it. Well Donut Games has managed to turn another Flash wonder into an iPhone game. This game isn't exactly about distance though it's more about points. But with the ability to shoot a monkey out of a palm tree it's all good fun either way.

Monkey Flight is an extremely easy to use application. The graphics are cartoony in the normal Donut Games way and the controls are simple, just tap. When you start playing you will immediately be presented with a screen filled with fruits and monkeys. Set your angle by sliding your finger up or down on the screen and watch the powerbar fill and empty repeatedly. When it's at the power you want release and watch your monkey soar! The objective here is to pick up as much fruit as you can before your monkey loses momentum. You are alloted 3 monkeys to achieve a high score. Beware though because rocks and pools of mud will halt your monkey quicker than you can imagine. Clouds and elephants will help keep your monkey going by giving him a bit of a bounce.

Overall Monkey Flight is pretty good for the first few minutes. With only the one level to play things will get repetitive rather quickly. For only $0.99 it isn't a bad buy and I am hoping the developer will take some time to look into adding additional levels. It's worth a dollar now, but more levels would make it more worthwhile. If you have a few quick minutes on your hand and an extra buck lying around Monkey Flight will easily entertain you, but don't give it more than about 10 minutes because it will get boring.
